Anthony has been a senior transportation analyst on Wall Street for over 25 years, working at Salomon Brothers, Argus Research, PaineWebber, and most recently NatWest Markets (USA) prior to starting his independent analyst/consultancy ABH Consulting in 1999 and working with partner MillerTabak beginning in 2009. Anthony’s has primarily covered the freight transportation segment, in particular surface transportation. He co-presents and leads RailTrends, an annual railways conference in New York City.

Anthony has been active as an independent analyst and consultant, working for major railroads such as Norfolk Southern, CSX, Union Pacific, BNSF, Kansas City Southern and Canadian National, as well as the Association of American Railroads, the American Short Line and Regional Rail Road Association, the United Transportation Union, the Canadian Transportation Agency, the Railway Association of Canada, the Railway Association of the UK, Australian Railways, Railinc/ Steelroads and various freight shipper and supplier organizations. He has also worked with management consulting firms such as Oliver Wyman/Mercer Management and Mitchell Madison Group/USWeb, and with an extensive list of private equity firms in the transport space around the world.

Anthony has been named on various honor rolls, including the Institutional Investor (ii) and Wall Street Journal All Star Analysts, and he has garnered the top spot in a Greenwich Associates poll. He is a former President of the Motor Carrier Analysts association, a current director of Axion and has been testifying before the US Congress on railroads since 1998. Anthony is a graduate from Harvard University.
